The family and I had so much fun this weekend at one of the best theme parks in the southeast, Dollywood. Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge Tennessee and is owned by the one and only Dolly Parton. There was so much to do there that we weren't even able to fit it all in one day. The kids got to have their pictures made with the characters from the Christmas Classics, like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, and Yukon Cornelius. It was so cool to see my kids getting excited to meet the same characters that I loved to watch on TV when I was a child. After getting to meet these amazing characters, we got to make some Christmas cookies, and play some reindeer games (lol). So much FUN to be had at the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. Video of us at the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival at Dollywood, if you can't see videogo HERE to watch it!
The activities were great, but my favorite part was seeing the shows. We first saw Dollywood's Christmas Carol and let me tell you the quality of actors in this show were absolutely amazing. I have never seen a holograph used in a production before and I must say it was so cool, it really felt like Dolly was up on stage playing the role of The Ghost From Christmas Past. My kids kept asking me, is that the real Dolly. It was just awesome.
I was so official with my Media Family Fun Day pass! :-) Since we really needed more than one day to get all of Dollywood, I have to say that the Dollywood Christmas Memory Package is the way to go. This is what is included which makes it more than worth doing.
